Séminaire annuel de l’université de Liverpool (19/05/16)
“Central mediterranean Prehistory”
This long standing event aims to gather scholars working on prehistory in the Central Mediterranean in order to present their current research, exchange ideas and explore new research directions in a friendly environment. Academics, post-docs, PhD students and independent scholars from the UK and overseas are encouraged to attend and present papers or posters relevant to the field of prehistory of Italy, Corsica, Malta, the eastern Adriatic coast, southern France, and Mediterranean areas of North Africa. The time frame is from the Palaeolithic to Iron Age, up to 500 BC.
The meeting will take place at the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology, The University of Liverpool from about 10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m (details on the specific location will be provided at a later date). The seminar is free to attend. Lunch will be provided.
If you are interested in presenting your research (as either a 20 min paper or a poster), please send us a title and 200 word abstract by the deadline (now 4th of April 2016). The call for papers welcomes all scholars working in this academic field, and the organisers will seek to accept a balance of papers from established and early career researchers. Please note that we will try to accommodate as many researchers as possible and if we cannot offer a time slot for a presentation, participants will be encouraged to present a poster.
If you wish to attend this meeting (which is open to all) please inform Dan Brown by the 7th of May 2016 so that we can order the right amount of refreshments.
